Scorching linyahan in Week 22 of Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin

In the 22nd week of Ang Sa Iyo ay Akin, we’re able to witness several rounds of intense showdowns not just between Marissa (Jodi Sta. Maria) and Ellice, but their respective moms Lucing (Maricel Soriano) and Belen (Rita Avila) as well.

Marissa’s former bodyguard Blue (Nicco Antonio), who’s now already in-charge with Lucing, is also seemingly sparking a silent competition with her new aide Avel (Joseph Marco) as he felt jealous over her preference to him.

While Ellice and Gabriel (Sam Milby) had misunderstandings again, the bond of fake siblings Jake (Grae Fernandez) and Hope (Kira Balinger) is getting tighter and sweeter in each episode.

Prior to the hearing of the case filed by Ellice to Marissa, Doña Adelina Guevarra (Carla Martinez) and Belen (Rita Avila) had a little squabble inside the comfort room.

“I’ve heard great stories about you,” the former said.

“I’m sure they’re all good stories,” the latter retorted.

“I’d rather not say.”

“I hate to be the judge of that. Pero mukhang pupulutin kayo sa kangkungan. You’re just for it anyway.”

As the hearing went on, Marissa admitted buying the shares of several board members, yet she denied coercing them. However, Doña Adelina owned up to it by saying that it was actually her idea to blackmail them.

Worried about her boss’ plight once convicted, Marissa attempted to stop Doña Adelina. But she asked her not to since the worst punishment that she could get is probably house arrest for few weeks. Besides, she also has connections who could help her. Instead, she told Marissa that the only thing she could wish for in return is for her to “deliver Ellice’s head in a platter” to her.

As she finally learned about the whole truth behind everything that happened in the past between their families through her late father’s letter, Marissa couldn’t help but be emotional.

Marissa then went on to tell Lucing (Maricel Soriano) regarding her presumption that Ellice and Cesar (Simon Ibarra) have something to do with the disappearance of the pertinent documents left by her dad and the threat in the life of Lucing. Thus, she vowed to make the Ceñidozas pay.

Lalaban tayo, ‘nay. Lalaban tayo. Magbabayad sila,” she promised her mother.

In their conversation at her office after the hearing, Adelina told Marissa not to be sad about her current situation and reminded her of the promise she made.

“Huwag kang malungkot para sa akin. Soon, I’ll be reunited with my son.

Then she added, “Nangako ka sa akin, Marissa. It’s the least you can do for me before I die.

Meanwhile, Marissa’s son Jake (Grae Fernandez) was having a fun bonding time with his “father” Gabriel (Sam Milby) and his “half-sister” Hope (Kira Balinger). As they all stared at a painting that seem to signify them, Jake suddenly uttered, “Kahit may mga problema tayo, everything seems bearable dahil magkakasama tayo,” which apparently touched their hearts.

They were supposed to have a round of dessert, but Gabriel had to attend to an emergency so he had to leave his children in each other’s company going home. Unfortunately, Jake’s car broke down that caused the delay of their arrival at the Cenidoza’s residence. Yet, both him and Hope were still happy to be able to bond with one another longer.

Unbeknownst to them, a looming threat was just around the corner as a henchman of Adelina called to tell her that he spotted her with Marissa’s son.

As she failed to contact Hope, Ellice immediately went to Marissa’s house to confront her about her child.

Marissa fiercely responded to her.

This caused an altercation between Ellice and Gabriel, with the former being more decided on getting Jake out of Hope’s life, to which the latter highly disagreed. Thus, she did what Belen probably advised her to do – to file a temporary restraining order (TRO) against Jake.

Upon reading the court order the next day, Marissa unhesitatingly confronted Ellice at her office due to anger.

“Be careful, Ellice. Sa inaasal mong ‘yan, I don’t even have to lift a finger. Ikaw ang gumagawa no’n.

And it seems that Marissa was talking sense as it indeed stirred another dispute between Ellice and Gabriel, which delighted Belen.

The following day, it was Ellice’s turn to receive a subpoena after Marissa filed a case against her, with regards to the validity of the Cenidozas ownership of their company. This infuriated her and vowed to defeat her anew inside the court.

After her conversation with Ellice, Belen went on to meet with Cesar to ask for his assistance regarding their new trouble. But when he asked her about the contents of the documents his henchman Red (Manuel Chua) was able to take away from Lucing, she found it difficult to ‘fess up.

As their paths crossed along one of the hallways of the courthouse, Belen and Lucing, along with their daughters, had a brief clash.

“Talagang ‘di kayo titigil, ‘no?

Ipokrita!” Lucing fiercely retorted and went on to slap her hard.

Both of them proceeded to the hearing, wherein the daughter of Lamberto Fernandez, who’s the sole witness when her father confessed what he knew about Jorge (Lito Pimentel) and Nestor’s (Allan Paule) negotiation decades ago.

As the case got dismissed and the judge favored Ellice and Belen, Lucing couldn’t help but be emotional. Thus, Marissa consoled her by saying, “Hindi pa tapos ‘to, ‘nay. Nagsisimula pa lang tayo.”

On the other hand, Belen and Ellice were celebrating their victory at their house.

“Thank you. You just came back at a perfect time,” Ellice told her mom.

“I’m glad to be back. Hindi ko sila hahayaang apihin ka. And now, we have two wins against them,” Belen delightfully uttered.

“I can’t wait to see them try.”

As Lucing blamed herself for not listening to what her daughter had been telling her before, Marissa assured her that the battle isn’t over yet and that they’ll continue to seek justice.
