FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano has reached its 1000th episode! Soon the hit cop series will be marking its 4th year on air. Without a doubt, they have already marked their place in history. But Cardo Dalisay (Coco Martin) is not done yet! Surely, he and the rest of the cast still have a lot more in store for Kapamilyas. And helping them out will be the latest addition to the CIDG, Arron Villaflor, Josef Elizalde, Kaiser Boado and Martin Escudero!
“Napakasaya ng buhay namin dito,” Escudero describe being on set. Everyone is professional and welcoming. More importantly, the cast and crew members take this chance to bond have fun all together. “Kahit kontrabida ka, okay lahat, maganda ang relasyon ng bawat isa,” Villaflor added. “Hindi nila ako trinatong iba,” Boado shared his experience of being a newbie. However, what truly makes this a memorable project for the four actors is being able to work with the director, writer and lead star Coco Martin.
Villaflor previously worked with Coco for the 2013 series Juan dela Cruz. How to deliver lines and proper blocking are only some of the tips he learned from sharing a scene with Coco. So, this was a reunion he was especially excited about. Admittedly, he has been waiting for a role in this Primetime drama which is why he has been following the show’s run since the beginning. “Sa haba-haba ng naging journey nitong FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, hindi ako naka-miss,” he boasted.
Elizalde revealed that he initially had jitters before his first day because he did not know if he would be a kontrabida or who his co-stars would be. Luckily, seeing Villaflor’s familiar face helped him relax. Since then, by shooting at different locations, he has witnessed how children would be inspired to join the police force because of Cardo Dalisay. And this only solidified Coco’s image of a true idol in Elizalde’s mind.
Meanwhile, Boada is still at awe that he was given this opportunity. He knows that it is every actors’ dream to be part of his Kapamilyas series and work alongside the best in the industry. “Si Sir Coco, isa ‘yan sa mga tinitingala naming mga bagong artista,” he praised.
Escudero is also proud to be part of the cast. He did feel a mix of excitement and nervousness. Apparently, they do not always have a script on hand, but the cast were more than willing to guide him. “Ibibigay niya [Coco] lahat ng kailangan mo kaya hindi ka mangangapa sa dilim,” he explained.
Who else is excited for what is to come on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano? Do not miss a single episode, Mondays to Fridays on Primetime Bida.
