As FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano kicks off its fourth year as the top-rating primetime action drama, not only new story arcs and more intense scenes should be expected, but a slew of new characters as well – and among them are actress-comedienne Kim Molina and returning actress Priscilla Almeda.
From being despised as Savannah Rosales, the ever-loyal right-hand of the wicked antagonist Daniella Mondragon (Dimples Romana) in the afternoon soap opera Kadenang Ginto, Kim is currently delivering good vibes as the bubbly Bea Malonzo, a barangay councilor who highly idolizes and dutifully serves under the administration of newly-elected chairwoman Alyana Dalisay (Yassi Pressman).
She eventually became close friends with Alyana and a love interest of Domingo “Domeng” Suarez, a funny character played by comedian Empoy Marquez.
In this behind-the-scenes interview, the 28-year-old versatile thespian revealed that she was supposed to be a part of the inaugural season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as a loveteam partner of Pepe Herrera’s remarkable character Benny, but wasn’t able to commit since she was also busy filming then for the Nadine Lustre and James Reid-starrer Till I Met You.
Thus, Kim’s very much elated and grateful to be given a chance to be considered again in the series after a few years and work with the whole ensemble, especially, Coco Martin, who’s also her co-star and director in the 2019 Metro Manila Film Fest entry “3Pol Trobol Huli Ka Balbon,” and Yassi Pressman, whom she worked with in several projects such as the 2016 flick “Camp Sawi.”
The same goes for former sexy star Priscilla Almeda, whose stint in the series as a businessman’s paramour named Krista Sandoval marks her showbiz comeback after more than a decade of residing abroad.
“I love it. Gustong-gusto ko rito. Ang bait-bait ng mga cast, crew, and production, everyone here’s so nice and very welcoming. I’m so glad and happy to be part of the show,” the 43-year-old actress related.
