Just by reading this FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano subtitle for 2020, we already have a clue that we’re definitely going to be in for a new phase packed with exhilarating action and heart-melting drama for the coming year.
This was what lead actor-director Coco Martin confirmed during the fourth anniversary press conference of the well-loved primetime action drama held recently at the ABS-CBN Compound, which was attended by the present cast members led by him and leading lady Yassi Pressman, production staff and crew, and top executives of the network.
When asked about the things to watch out for in the much-awaited newest chapter of the series, Coco enthusiastically hinted that there are going to be more intense action and drama, as well as more exciting characters coming up.
Kumbaga, parang this time, ang sasakupin na ay ang buong Pilipinas,” the 38-year-old artist and filmmaker related.
Then he added, “Kaya sabi ko nga, in terms of action, in terms of stories and mga co-actor, kumukuha na kami ng international actor para mas lalong mapa-[lawak] ‘yong kuwento.”
Coco also jested how challenging it was for him to converse in English with the foreign actors they eyed to hire and how it would surely be tough for him to direct them due to language barriers. Since the new story arc will include international talents, he said that some scenes will be filmed abroad, which will start in January 2020.
It has also been a long time since the tragic death of Ricky Boy, the unico hijo of Yassi and Coco’s characters Alyana and Cardo, thus, they were quizzed if there’s going to be a new baby on the way for the Dalisay Family.
Dinadahan-dahan namin,” he divulged.
Furthermore, the acclaimed actor-turned-director confessed, as well, how he was able to get this project and helped in conceptualizing and developing it into a continuously expanding and highly successful series. On the other hand, Yassi gleefully imparted how her role as Alyana has become important to her by saying how it changed her life forever.
Meanwhile, both of them expressed how they, especially Coco, got emotional upon the realization that they’ve already guested over 430 artists throughout the four years of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and that the series should have come to an end.
Happy 4th anniversary, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano!
