For the past few weeks, the character of Jane Sebastian gave us a whirlwind of emotions in the top-rating action drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. She first appeared as a helpless woman who needed saving from experiencing physical and sexual abuse. Eventually, her true character unraveled as someone who is both a victim and a criminal. She suffers from having a multiple personality disorder, which is rooted from her traumatic past, specifically being bullied and being sexually abused by her own parents and by many other men. Thus, aside from Jane, the said character also bears the personalities of the innocent and child-like Lovely, the flirty Maureen and the violent Kuya.
Portraying the mentally ill serial killer is Judy Ann Santos-Agoncillo, who proved to us her extraordinary talent as an actress. She gripped us in every scene, giving us the chills as she depicted the unpredictable character. One moment all she wants is a toy, the next she is flirting with boys. She also smoothly shifts from being a scared Jane into being a fearless and brutal man.
Nevertheless, despite the undeniable thrill that her character brought in the show, Judy Ann recently exited FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as her character encountered the Task Force Agila, wherein she was shot multiple times when she attempted to attack Cardo Dalisay as “Kuya”.
As she left the show, the whole cast and crew of the hit teleserye expressed how grateful and honored they are to work with such a brilliant actress. Most of them described their working experience with the Teleserye Queen as a “dream come true” including Yassi Pressman who plays as Alyanna, Denise Laurel who plays as Alessandra Romero, Arron Villaflor as Amir Marquez, and many more. They also shared how Judy Ann greatly made an impact and inspired them to follow her work ethic. They revealed that Judy Ann possesses a caring and loving nature they would all wish to have constantly no matter how harsh the industry will be to them. Meanwhile, Susan Roces who plays Lola Flora, spoke about how proud she is of Judy Ann, who starred with the original “Probinsyano” and her husband Da King Fernando Poe, Jr. in the 1999 movie “Isusumbong Kita Sa Tatay Ko.”
Finally, Coco Martin who plays Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay, spoke about how thankful he is of the support and love that Judy Ann gave to the show.
At the end of this video, Juday gave her special response to the Primetime King Coco Martin. Apart from this, she gave a heartwarming message to the whole cast and crew of the show on her Instagram account. Featuring some behind the scene photos taken from their taping days, she wrote in her caption:
“Maraming salamat sa bumubuo ng #FPJAP, mula sa crew, staff and cast.. Thank you so much for the very warm welcome from the first ‘til my last taping day. Naramdaman ko kung gaano nyo kamahal ang programang bumuo sa pamilya ninyo. Salamat sa opportunity na mapabilang sa pamilya ninyo.. Na mayakap at makakwentuhan ang mga tinuring kong tatay-tatayan sa industriya, ang makasama uli ang nag iisang reyna ng pelikulang pilipino, makatrabaho uli ang mga staff and crew na nakasama ko noon. Ang sarap sa pakiramdam. To my dreamscape family, thank you for trusting me to play a character with multiple personality disorder. Hindi siya madali ah. (Ilang gabi akong hindi makatulog kakaisip kung kaya ko ba to at kung paano ko to gagawin.) I took on the challenge, inakap ko nang buong puso para makatulong magbigay ng karagdagang impormasyon sa mga ganitong klaseng cases ng mental health problem, sana sa maiksing pagganap ko, sama-sama nating tulungan ang mga taong may pinagdadaanan sa ganitong klaseng aspeto. Let’s not judge, instead we listen and help. Sa mga loyal viewers ng #FPJAP maraming maraming salamat sa buong puso ninyong pagtanggap kila jane/lovely/maureen at kuya.. it was truly a wonderful journey. Mabuhay kayong lahat. Jane/lovely/maureen/ kuya, signing off.”
