Aside from being a morally upright individual and an outstanding police officer, Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is also being revered for his genuine love for his continuously growing extended family. Just like all of us, he would also protect and defend them at all cost, unless their involvement in corrupt and detestable activities will be proven.
In the recent episodes of the long-running primetime action drama, we have witnessed how he has gone aggressive towards those who malign the reputation of Police Director Delfin S. Borja (Jaime Fabregas) and their family. The top official got incarcerated for allegedly embezzling 250 million pesos from the national fund through his supposed connection with the late Tomas Tuazon (Albert Martinez), the notorious leader of a drug and human trafficking syndicate. And for this week’s Friday 5, let us revisit Cardo’s five ‘gigil’ moments through this video.
Cardo vs. President Oscar Hidalgo
Days after he found out about President Oscar Hidalgo’s (Rowell Santiago) unjust accusation against his Lolo Delfin, Cardo didn’t have hesitations in coming to office and personally talk to him in pursuit of clearing out Delfin’s name.
He told Oscar that his Lolo Delfin didn’t commit the crime because he believed that he only got set-up and imposed that he’s completely innocent. Even though Cardo reminded him that they’ve been allies, especially in bringing down his then-debauch Vice President Lucas Cabrera (Edu Manzano), the commander-in-chief still insisted that his appointed National Security Adviser is a dissembler.
Cardo vs. colleagues
While he and his comrades were supposedly having a good time at a pub, they overheard their other colleagues seated in another table deriding not only Cardo and his Lolo Delfin, but the Task Force Agila as well. They called his Lolo Delfin names, such as a thief and a plunderer, which terribly irked him and ensued to a fisticuff between him and them and him pointing his gun at them.
Cardo vs. rowdy neighbors
Just when he was about to went inside their house, Cardo apparently lost his chill upon hearing the raucous conversation of his drunkard neighbors poking fun at their family’s current plight. He instantly wreaked havoc upon confronting them and almost punched one of them, if not for Lola Flora’s holler.
Cardo vs. the bank manager
Upon learning his Lolo Delfin’s dilemma regarding the enormous amount of money that had been deviously transferred to his bank account, Cardo furiously went to the bank and confronted the bank manager about it. The latter denied having knowledge about the transaction that annoyed him, thus, he warned her of being imprisoned once it will be proven that she’s telling a lie.
Cardo vs. the witness
In pursuit of gleaning evidence and seeking the truth behind the case of his Lolo Delfin, Cardo tailed one of the witnesses named Nico Montemayor, the former accountant of Tomas Tuazon. Unfortunately, the latter refused to divulge anything that he knows and threatened him instead that there are huge personalities backing him. Irked, Cardo singlehandedly brought Nico and his henchmen down.
Is it still possible for them to prove Delfin’s innocence, now that the President is being manipulated by his cunning second wife Lily? Let’s all find out in the upcoming episodes by not missing an episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, on Primetime Bida!
