Dreams were shattered in the recent episodes of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as the young ranch worker Macoy (Seth Fedelin), whose biggest motivation in life is to wear a policeman’s badge and raise his mother from poverty, was killed at Lito (Richard Gutierrez)’s command.
In this Kapamilya Toplist, we’re looking back on Macoy’s most memorable moments with Cardo (Coco Martin) in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Look back on Seth Fedelin’s impressive portrayal as Macoy in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano
Macoy was introduced as a helper at Lito’s horse stables where Cardo and the Task Force Agila were assigned. Knowing them as ex-cops, the young guy showed eagerness in touring them around the stations. It was Macoy who shared his knowledge with Cardo at first by demonstrating their duties.
As they got comfortable with each other, Macoy would often tell Cardo his dreams of entering the police force. He said he wants to follow Cardo’s footsteps. Although financial ordeals halted his schooling, Macoy was determined to save enough for his college studies.
In a breakfast scene with Cardo, Jerome (John Prats) and Ramil (Michael de Mesa) for breakfast, Macoy got honest stories about the life of a cop straight from the Agila lead trooper. Cardo told him that his dreams would entail a lot of sacrifices and sometimes cops don’t gain much from their jobs besides honor.
Macoy would also take Cardo’s brotherly advice about girls and raising a family. There was a scene where Cardo seemed bothered by his quarrel with Alyana (Yassi Pressman). The always candid Macoy knew it was about Alyana’s sexy clothing, so he talked about the same experience. He said he once got into trouble for trying to protect his ex-girlfriend from a group of catcallers. He made things light by telling Cardo to use his charisma in wooing his wife.
They continued talking about girls. Macoy opened up about his ideal woman, someone as kind as his mother. He also promised that he will never be an irresponsible family man like his father. Cardo reminisced on his happy moments with his family. He said he’s aching to see Letlet (Iyannah Sumalpong) and Lola Flora (Susan Roces) and live a normal life again but the circumstances hinder these dreams. That’s why he asked Macoy to always do good and work hard for his dreams.
Sometimes, it’s Macoy who uplifts Cardo’s spirits such as when he assured him of their safety. Upon learning about the task force’s situation, Macoy said Cardo made the right move by seeking refuge at Lito’s place, not knowing the man he talks good about is also the same person who’d order for his killing.
Their friendship even grew stronger when Cardo came to Macoy’s rescue and defended him from another group of caretakers headed by the troublemaker Berto.
However, the seemingly promising chapter in Macoy’s life came to a close when Lito discovered his crime of stealing. Cardo’s group thought Macoy was simply ordered to leave the town, not knowing he was killed by Turo (Val Iglesias) at Lito’s command.
How will Cardo’s group discover Lito’s ulterior motive and true wickedness? Don’t miss an episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
