WATCH: With his humble beginnings, Coco Martin inspires with generosity, selflessness

The moment you hear his name, you instantly think of Cardo — the strong but full of heart hero in Dreamscape Entertainment’s FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. If you’re a new Coco Martin fan, buckle up because this video from the YouTube channel Coco Martin PH is nothing short of nostalgic.

There is no question to the amount of inspiration that Coco Martin brings to the table wherever he goes. From his humble beginnings in the independent film industry such as “Masahista,” “Kaleldo,” and “Daybreak,”  to his major success in the mainstream media cutting across various projects including comedic stints like “You’re My Boss” alongside Toni Gonzaga and “3pol Trobol: Huli Ka Balbon” with Coco’s long-time best friend Vice Ganda. These include romantic dramas that brought us to tears like “A Moment in Time” with Julia Montes and “Maybe this Time” with Sarah Geronimo-Guidicelli.

People who know him personally always say good things about him so what sets Coco apart? He’s arguably the living epitome of hope in the eyes of the people whose lives he has touched — and that’s a lot! From his fellow artists and directing team down to the most modest crewmember of his shows and films, a common theme you’d hear these people say would be that they would not have a job now if it were not for Coco. Both seasoned actors and fresh faces in the action-packed FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano are the most recent witnesses of Coco's immense generosity.

Despite the amount of support he has, Coco never ceases to slow down. He remains dedicated and stays on top of the responsibilities that rest on his shoulders. Despite showing this kind of determination and grit which Coco claimed he learned from his experience in indie films, Coco continues to dream big not just for himself but for the people surrounding — personal and work family alike.

So to say that Coco Martin has inspired many through the years is quite a massive understatement. As he keeps his feet on the ground, he constantly opens doors for every single person he works with which is the closest thing most of us have to a miracle or a dream come true.
