We may not see them at present on the long-running action-drama FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, but real-life couple Kim Molina and Jerald Napoles, along with their co-stars rappers-turned-actors Smugglaz and Bassilyo, still have their way of entertaining us via the Online Kapamilya Shows (OKS) offering “Promdibate.”

And for the second episode, they tackled “Wala Ka Sa Mayor Ko!”, in which the two rap battlers sarcastically criticized the mayors who seemed to be falling short in fulfilling their sworn duties of putting the welfare of their constituents over personal interests and of serving them with utmost sincerity and honesty. They also pointed out erroneous measures some of them have done.

If there’s derision, Smugglaz and Bassilyo also heaped praises to those local leaders who have been doing a great job in accomplishing their obligations to the public. They also applauded those who have shown innovativeness and resourcefulness in battling the pandemic and sending aid to their constituents, and even willingly compromised their personal properties for the sake of fulfilling the deficiencies in their respective cities or municipalities.

Of course, they didn’t forget to lambast the citizens as well who unfortunately fail to obey the basic policies implemented by the government in pursuit of mitigating the spread of the deadly coronavirus disease (COVID-19).

The episode ended with Kim and Jerald reminding us the basic rules now that we’re in the “new normal” – to practice good hygiene and to observe social distancing.
