Kapamilya React: Julia Montes astounds netizens in her ‘astig’ FPJ’s ang Probinsyano entrance

Since we have not seen her on television for a year, many have surely missed Julia Montes. Thus, many were indeed delighted when it was announced that she would be part of the sixth season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.

Attesting that is the consistent large number of views garnered by the episodes on her first week on the show and the topics and hashtags related to it that made it to the top trending topics on Twitter. And it seemingly continues to do so as the narrative continues to unfold, which never fails to thrill the fans and avid viewers – just like our Kapamilya netizens featured in this episode of Kapamilya React.

Driving a muscle bike in her denim pants and vest, black boots, and black wayfarers, with a guitar bag clinging at her back, we all agree that Julia indeed had a grand and awesome entrance! But we were surely more stunned upon seeing her arresting beauty as soon as she took off her helmet. With the way she dressed, moved, and went to her destination on a motorcycle, many arguably assumed that we’re going to immediately see her in action, especially when she took out something that is black – which turned out to be a camera and not a gun! And we all know that being travel vlogger Jennifer Salve is just her disguise in order to conceal her real identity as Mara.

At the same time, we assumed that her and Cardo’s (Coco Martin) paths would cross, but we were also wrong because that would definitely not happen too soon!

As soon as she finished her tour around the museum, we began to get to know her more when she called John Estrada’s character Armando, who turned out to be her father, to report the anticipated arrival of First Lady Lily Hidalgo (Lorna Tolentino) at their town the next day for the special event that will be hosted by Don Guillermo (Tommy Abuel).

Her acting as a vlogger convinced one of our Kapamilya reactors that it truly suits her, so she wished for Julia to have her own channel as well in real life. Besides, her seamless transition from a perky vlogger to a mysterious and fierce Mara has proven anew her versatility as an actress. Thus, another reactor believed that the current season of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano is going to be better and grander.

Aside from knowing her dad, we also found out in the next episodes that the reason why they’re keeping a close eye on Don Guillermo is that he is one of the people behind the slaughter of their fellow peasants many years ago. Their fight over the ownership of the massive and prolific agrarian land ensued to bloodshed and death of their loved ones, which motivated them to plot revenge against him and his cohorts Don Iñigo and then-lawyer Arturo Padua (Tirso Cruz III).

The gruesome murder of the farmers was truly horrifying and appalling to watch, yet it also showcased Julia’s astounding dramatic prowess as she was able to evoke the right emotions needed in those scenes and touch us without even having to say a word.

As they huddled about how to finally succeed in killing off Don Guillermo, we witnessed how some of their allies doubted her capabilities. But the flashback scene, wherein she was seen effortlessly assassinating someone even though there’s a lot of people in the area, attested that she could do it. Since they apparently have a common enemy, this intensified our belief that Mara could indeed be Cardo’s new partner-in-crime. Thus, one of our reactors wish Mara and the rest of the gang to succeed in their vendetta.
