Cardo’s happy family as one factor that kept FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano captivating through the years

It has been six years, and soon, seven. Through the years, one factor that kept the magic of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano alive is the inspiring display of love for family, which easily hits home with Pinoy viewers.

As part of the show’s 7th anniversary celebration, the stars of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano look back on their journey in a series of short clips titled “Balik-Tanaw.” In this episode, we’re putting the spotlight on Coco Martin’s brilliant and sincere objective to highlight Filipino family ties.

Malou Crisologo aka Yolly revealed that Coco is a Lola's boy in real life, thus Cardo and Lola Flora (Susan Roces)’s genuine connection. The bond would extend behind the scenes, said Malou. She added that the late veteran actress had deep concern for the show and the whole team, “Sobra kong nakita kung gaano kabuti ang puso ng isang Susan Roces. ‘Yung effort niya talaga for us to tape even during pandemic just to help the show in her own little way.”

Through the years, the teleserye had depicted Cardo’s family’s closeness in scenes like get-togethers, meal time, and praying together. Viewers are therefore inspired to express the same kind of love toward their own families. “Ang pagmamahal niya sa pamilya niya ay buo. Kasi, kung hindi niya kayang ipaglaban ang Pilipino, hindi rin niya kayang ipaglaban ang pamilya niya. So, ipaglalaban niya ang mga Pilipino kasama ang pamilya niya,” a fan noted.

And, in times of uncertainties, Pinoy viewers turn to the characters and the show itself to somehow relive the love of a family. “Nakakatulong din kahit paano namaibsan ‘yung pangungulila mo sa pamilya kasi nga may napapanood ka,” a viewer said.

What fate awaits Cardo’s family as he continues in his big missions? Don’t miss an episode of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
