5 scenes inspired by trends in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano

Kapamilya series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano brings us all sorts of entertaining content from action to drama, romance, and even comedy. As the beloved teleserye celebrates its sixth year, we bring you this Friday 5 feature that rounds up 5 of its most memorable scenes inspired by social media trends.

One factor why FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano remains unbeatable is the tasteful delivery of funny, novelty trends in some episodes. For instance, the series was able to insert the “Pak Ganern” craze in a scene where Benny (Pepe Herrera) dared Makmak (Awra Briguela) to a dance showdown. While he was busy in his all-out performance, Benny failed to notice that Cardo (Coco Martin) was already driving their service vehicle, paving the way for a comedic chase.

The next scene shows Cardo on an undercover mission. His peg was no less than superstar Brad Pitt. And if he was Hollywood’s pretty boy, he must have a leading lady beside him. Glen (Maja Salvador) appeared as Angelina Jolie. Stunned, Cardo gushed, “Angelina Julie!” Glen replied, “Julie Vega?!” The tandem looked sharp from head to toe if only Glen didn’t tip off because she’s not used to wearing heels.

Remember the “May Tatlong Bibe” trend? It was inserted in a scene where Cardo helped Onyok (Simon Pineda) in his homework about “Alamat ng Tatlong Bibe.” While Onyok was singing, Makmak was dancing in secret, scared to show everyone that he’s gay.

There was a time when the series counted on Makmak and Onyok for comic relief. They even had their signature dance, the “Bomba dance,” which they taught to their schoolmates and family members. In a scene, Makmak, Onyok and Benny did the “bomba dance” as morning exercise.

One of the most memorable guestings in the teleserye is that of Unkabogable Star Vice Ganda. Reminiscent of “The Girl in the Rain'' scene from the blockbuster film “She’s The One.” Vice’s character, Ella, was seen having a hard time changing a flat tire. Cardo pulled over to help. The rain poured harder; Ella tried to protect Cardo by giving him a jacket, then their eyes met.

We’re all looking forward to watching such good vibes-inducing scenes in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano again! Don’t miss an episode of the long-running action-drama series, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
