15 loving moments of Lola Flora in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano we will always remember her for

Remembering Susan Roces as Lola Flora in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, we vividly imagine her radiant smile that makes the day even brighter. But we also see the feisty spirit that no enemy could shut. We imagine the smell of her cooking. We hear the words and pieces of advice weaved from her nuggets of wisdom. We remember a lot about her. And while there’s no instant remedy to the pain as we grieve over her loss, may this collection of scenes from Kapamilya Toplist somewhat bring us comfort.

Viewers of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano will surely miss Lola Flora’s light-hearted stories, like her cute anecdotes from Cardo (Coco Martin) and Alyana (Yassi Pressman)’s childhood. If it weren’t for her sharp ability to recall things, even Cardo and Alyana wouldn’t remember how they met as kids.

She was the sweetest storyteller. Each time Cardo and Alyana visited with their baby, Ricky Boy, Lola Flora offered stories about their family tree and how it stretched that big. She’d reminisce Cardo’s childhood and wonder where the time went.

We will miss Lola Flora’s sense of humor. It was adorable to see her bantering with Cardo and Benny (Pepe Herrera) while they teased her about Don Emilio (Eddie Garcia).

We will miss Lola Flora’s hospitality. Her home was everybody’s home. She loved everyone she encountered. When Cardo and Alyana returned with the Pulang Araw aka Vendetta, she welcomed them in her abode. During the opening of her eatery, Flora’s Garden, the doting grandmother thanked everyone who stuck by her family’s side including the Sto Nino residents, who offered shelter to Cardo, Alyana, and Delfin (Jaime Fabregas) while they were vigilantes. She also didn’t forget to acknowledge the help of Cardo’s colleagues especially the CIDG Boys, who saved their family many times from danger.

We will remember Lola Flora, or Lola Kap to some, for her unbreakable grace. When the enemies, for instance, Konsehala Gina (Mitch Valdez), tried to provoke her in the streets, Lola Flora chose to just ignore and left with a feisty “and, I thank you!”

Her grandkids will surely miss running to her for advice. A scene in this video montage shows Lola Flora telling Onyok (Simon Pineda) not to copy the behavior of the bullies in school. She used to remind Cardo a lot about his temper. Her words would correct yet sound so loving each time.

Everybody will surely miss her cooking – the special sisig and kare-kare made with a lot of love. Lucky are those who were able to taste Lola Flora’s cooking in her small business called Flora’s Garden.

We will miss how she organizes gatherings for the family and the whole barangay especially during the holidays. Lola Flora showed us the true meaning of Christmas when she gathers the whole village and encourages her neighbors to make peace and forget about their problems.

Above all, her loved ones will surely miss having a prayer warrior imploring the aid of God for their protection. But we know that even when she’s gone, her prayers will continue to protect those she holds dear, especially her beloved grandson Cardo.

Watch out for the next episodes of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, weeknights, on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
