Soon-to-be Darna, Jane De Leon, teaming up with the unbeatable Primetime King, Coco Martin, can be considered one of the most memorable ‘collabs’ in Philippine TV history. And as hot as her entrance, Jane’s exit in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano also blew up social media trends and viewership Friday, August 20.
Jane’s final episode was an epic tease of the badass action panache and dramatic gift she’s about to showcase in Darna: The TV Series. Jane’s Captain Lia Mante joined forces with Coco’s Cardo Dalisay as they stormed to Enrique Vera (Simon Ibarra)’s construction site to avenge the death of Doctor Audrey Mante (Aya Fernandez).
Lia breathed out intense fury as she fought Vera’s gang. When Vera was about to escape, Lia operated a crane while Cardo hung by its hook and fired a barrage of bullets – an epic action scene that will go down in the annals of teleserye history!
The power tandem cornered Vera, who then tried to outsmart Lia by pulling out a knife. But Fernando (Christian Vasquez) arrived on time with a bolo knife, chopping off Vera’s arm just as how the latter cut Audrey’s arm and gave it to her family as a gift. Cardo was sharp enough to notice Vera’s secret tactic and killed him with his bullets before he was able to make a move.
At the Mante abode, Lia, Fernando, and Amalia (Cristina Gonzales) thanked the Task Force Agila for helping them avenge Audrey and they all decided to leave the place. From femme fatale vibes, Jane dished out superb drama as she confessed to Cardo about what really happened on the Task Force Agila-Black Ops crossfire. She said Albert (Geoff Eigenmann) was Alyana (Yassi Pressman)’s real gunman but the crusade for justice won’t end there yet as Albert remains alive.
As much as Jane will sure be remembered as the millennial Darna, she will also remain a permanent character in the minds of loyal FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano viewers.
