He’s definitely admired not just because of how brave, virtuous, and dutiful his character Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay is in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano when it comes to fulfilling his job as a police officer, but with how he also prioritizes and protects his beloved family on the show at all cost. And we all know that Coco Martin is absolutely the same in real life.
The 38-year-old actor may not be a dad yet, but he has been astounding us with how he impeccably acts like one for the children in his life, as seen in the photos and videos uploaded on his Instagram account and over the internet – his nieces and nephews, who are apparently living with him in his capacious villa and to whom he usually spends his time during his days off, as well as for his child co-stars, to whom he gets to bond with whenever they are on the set or other media appearances.
In the past four successful years of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, eight child actors, to whom his character stood as their foster dad, have indeed brightened up our primetime viewing with their unmistakable cuteness and promising acting prowess, namely, Simon Ezekiel Pineda (as Onyok), McNeal “Awra” Briguela (as Makmak), Shantel Crislyn Layh Ngujo (as Ligaya), Rhian Lorraine Ramos (as Dang), James Sagarino (as Paquito), Rhed Bustamante (as Ana), KenKen Nuyad (as Aye), and Iyannah Sumalpong (as Letlet).
Not many of us probably know that his being a father figure to them doesn’t really stop the moment they packed up the shoot as he continues to guide them and even help their real parents in providing their needs, such as quality education. In a video uploaded on his official YouTube channel, Shantel, Rhian, and James are seen expressing their gratitude for giving them the opportunity to study in a premiere exclusive school via home-schooling.
Of course, his biological son on the drama Ricardo “Ricky Boy” Dalisay Jr., played by adorable child actor Al Vaughn Chier Tuliao, will never be forgotten as we’re able to witness how he used to be so fond of him on-and-off-screen, as Coco even took the cuddly toddler with him in his house for them to bond.
