He might be the tough and unswerving Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay in the primetime action-drama series FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, who spearheads the vigilante group Vendetta and steadfastly fights against debauched high-profile personalities and the vicious rebels and criminals, but Coco Martin, as we all know, is completely different in real life.
During his rest days, he often takes his well-deserved break by relaxing at his deluxe and cozy villa-inspired abode in Quezon City, riding on his luxury cars or motorcycles going anywhere, and bonding with his family, as what his uploads on Instagram suggest.
However, going through his posts, we discovered another activity that the Primetime Teleserye King loves to do in his leisure time – spending it with his beloved pets of different kinds, which shows his intense fondness with animals.
At home, he fosters at least 10 dogs of various breeds. He has two bulldogs named George and Matilda, a German Shepherd he tagged “Soldier”, and eight terriers, who he takes for walks around their village.
Adding color to his cabana are his parrots and cockatoos that also accompany him every time he works out at his mini gym situated near the pool area. His house also has a pond wherein his shiny kois are kept.
Seemingly, the newest addition to his ever-growing number of babies is his yellow and green ball python, which he named Matilda (yes, like one of his cute bulldogs). Although snakes are typecast as mostly venomous and deadly, Matilda the Python is certainly harmless. In fact, he even brought her on the set of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano and let his leading lady Yassi Pressman and co-star John Prats play with it as Marc Solis watches. Bianca Manalo was spotted closing her eyes and showing her co-actors how scared she was at the sight of the cold-blooded creature.
Indeed, Coco deserves our love and support not only as an illustrious actor and director, but as responsible and doting pet owner as well!
