For several months, Dante "Bungo" Madarang (Baron Geisler) has spread terror and pain in the riveting action drama series titled FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. His character’s main goal was to seek revenge against PCpt. (PS/Insp.) Ricardo "Cardo" Dalisay (Coco Martin). Cardo’s twin brother Police S/Insp. (Captain) Dominador "Ador" B. de Leon (Coco Martin) ended the life of Bungo’s twin brother David Madarang (Baron Geisler). Following the code of Hammurabi, which simply says that one man should give the exact equal payment for what he took away from the other, Bungo’s main goal was to torture Cardo in all aspects and kill him in the end.
With Dante’s quest for revenge, many among Cardo’s comrades in the police force have died, including PLt. (PInsp.) Isabel Tiongson (Louise Gertrude), PSMSgt. (SPO2) Catherine Parana (Phoebe Walker), PCpt. (PS/Insp.) Francisco "Chikoy" Rivera (Michael Roy Jornales) and PMaj. (PC/Insp.) Alessandra "Alex" T. Romero (Denise Laurel).
However, all evil truly has a gruesome end. When their assets pinpointed Bungo’s location, Cardo and the Task Force Agila did not let any second put into waste. Fully armed, they left Major Romero’s wake and went to Sitio Kasagaran where Bungo is. A tight battle with Bungo and his army happened, including Cardo’s mano-a-mano duel with Bungo. His armies all went down and after his duel with Cardo, Bungo obtained gunshots on the core of his body then died after he himself let the bombs on his body explode.
Leaving the top-rating action-drama series that he loved being a part of, Baron expressed his gratitude and left an inspiring message to all the avid viewers of the show. In his farewell video published at Coco Martin’s YouTube channel, Baron shared that whenever he saw some kids carrying toy guns and imitating his character by saying some of his notable lines, he gently talked to them and admonished them not to follow Bungo or try to do what Bungo did in real life. Thus, his message goes:
Salamat.”
With all the pain and sorrow he caused, Bungo was indeed one of the most unforgettable villains in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano. See some of the behind the scene photos of his character’s last episode, here in this gallery!
