The stars of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano share their realizations, uplift viewers amid the pandemic

When trials plague the heart with anxieties, where do we find the strength to keep going? The cast members of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano share how they keep a hopeful attitude amid the uncertain times.

“Live in the present,” said Marc Solis. Sometimes, the feelings of anxiety come from trying to overthink about the regrets of the past and the uncertainty of the future. He underscored that we must learn to let go of the things beyond our control.

Just as how a pearl is made beautiful through pressure, we emerge stronger at the end of each challenge. Eric Nicolas, having gone through a lot in life, said that problems inevitably come but he has faith in the unbreakable power of Filipino resilience.

Marissa Sanchez holds on to her faith as a potent weapon to withstand any test, apart from the inspiration she gets from her child.

Despite the negativities, there’s always something to be grateful for. Sancho delas Alas looks at each waking day as a symbol of hope. He added that they, in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano are there to provide comfort and entertainment amid these trying times.

Rhen Escano, at one point, feared that the changes would sabotage her dreams and promising future. “Tumigil ‘yung mundo, iisipin mo kung titigil din ba ‘yung pangarap mo,” she thought. But as she moved forward, she realized that problems wouldn’t last forever. “At the end of the day, lahat ng ito, ngingitian mo balang araw dahil lahat ng ito, magiging kwento na lang,” said Rhen.

The pandemic opened our eyes to what really matters – God and family, above all. It’s been a journey that brought us back to our roots, as to how Smugglaz saw the situation. Anything can change in a blink of an eye, so appreciate the gift of family and love while there’s still time.

“Lagi n’yo lang mahalin ‘yung pamilya ninyo dahil kapag naliligaw tayo, kapag binalikan natin kung saan tayo nagsimula at kung anong dahilan kung bakit natin ‘to ginagawa, malalaman mo ulit kung saan tayo papunta,” he expressed.

Family is likewise CJ Ramos’ source of motivation. He also told Kapamilyas to allow space for healing in order to gain enough strength to start anew. “Kahit gaano kalalim ang sugat ay naghihilom din po ‘yan basta huwag lang po tayong susuko,” he urged the viewers.

When things start to feel overwhelming, take a deep breath and let go. As Bassilyo put it, “Hayaan ninyong ang problema ang mamroblema sa problemang ‘yan… Huwag kayong magpapa-stress, tibayan n’yo lang ang loob ninyo.” After the darkest night, comes a new dawn.

Unfortunate circumstances may strike but nothing can wind down the Kapamilya spirit. As Team Promdi’s collective sentiment says, “Tuloy ang Laban!”
