Taking a break from the action and drama they consistently provide to Kapamilya viewers every weeknight, the cast of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano surely delighted us with their stint on this year’s ABS-CBN Christmas ID “Ikaw Ang Liwanag At Ligaya”.
Spearheaded by its lead actor and creative director Coco Martin, they appeared on the 12:05 mark with him seen holding a yellow lantern while walking towards a tree decorated with parols in blue, green, and red colors and glimmering Christmas lights standing at the center of the churchyard. As he was hanging his lantern, his surrounding suddenly lit up.
Upon opening the church door, he was greeted by the rest of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano ensemble who were wearing their brightest smiles behind their face shields while holding their own lanterns. Yassi Pressman (a.k.a. Alyanna) approached Coco and held his hand and they all marched towards the Christmas tree near the altar.
After hanging their lanterns on the Christmas tree, they proceeded to the church pews and sat while observing the physical distancing as they attended the mass together.
Among the other cast members of the primetime series spotted on the ChrIstmas ID were Ara Mina, Tirso Cruz III, Lorna Tolentino, Rowell Santiago, Angel Aquino, Joel Torre, Richard Gutierrez, John Prats, Michael De Mesa, Marissa Sanchez, Raymart Santiago, Shaina Magdayao, John Medina, Sancho Delas Alas, Rhen Escano, Jaime Fabregas, Eric Nicolas, Marc Solis, Mark Manicad, Jay Gonzaga, Nonong Balinan, Shamaine Buencamino, Marc Abaya, Whitney Tyson, and John Arcilla.
While these were the scenarios on-cam, the mood behind-the-scene was actually cheerier as they mingled with one another, had fun posing for the camera, and danced together to the “Ikaw Ang Liwanag At Ligaya” as seen in the photos in this gallery. Indeed, they enjoyed filming their part in the Christmas ID!
