Lola Flora’s Words of Wisdom Probinsyano

Looking back on Lola Flora’s life, we see the courage and love that she has built over the biggest challenges that she faced. She was an expert at keeping her faith amid threats and trials, and being an endless source of wisdom for the people around her.

Grandmothers are truly angels on earth that even when they’re gone, their beautiful words and pieces of advice remain immortal. Today, we thank Lola Flora, gracefully portrayed by the Queen of Philippine Movies Susan Roces in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano, for all the lessons she imparted through her words of wisdom. Somehow it’s comforting to know that we can always go back to these quotes when we need something positive to lift us up.

1. As a devout Catholic, Lola Flora taught us to trust in the Man above no matter what our situation looks like because He knows what’s best for us.

2. You’re only young once. There’s no need to rush.

Huwag mong apurahin.”

3. Even life’s troubles can strengthen our relationships with friends and family, if only we learn to fight as a team.

4. Communicate and accept your partner’s flaws because marriage is a beautiful blessing and you must protect it at all cost.

5. Plant forgiveness instead of wrath and vendetta in your heart.

6. In this age of prevalent ‘Marites’ culture, it’s easy to lose temper over fake news spread about you. Lola Flora’s take on this is to just let them and be certain that the truth comes out in the end.

7. There was never a moment Lola Flora ran out of faith. She believed that God’s love remains true even on the seemingly bad days, and taught us not to question His plans.

They say that life does not come with a manual. But thanks to grandmas’ words of wisdom and encouragement, like these pieces of advice from the beloved Lola Kap, life becomes a little less daunting.
