Some hearts are melting while some are hurting over the romantic tug-of-war in FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano.
Through the trials they braved together, Cardo (Coco Martin) and Alyana (Yassi Pressman) managed to keep their union indestructible. They had their fair share of highs and lows and sometimes men would try to steal Alyana’s heart but her devotion to Cardo would always prevail. However, their marriage is going on the rocks all over again because of the imposing presence of someone who holds a portion of Alyana’s heart.
There’s Lito (Richard Gutierrez), the influential man sharing a deep-rooted romantic history with Alyana, determined to win her back. The dude seems to have everything Cardo lacks, especially the promise of a bright future. Using this strength, he showers Alyana with gifts and treats her like a princess as a subtle way of tempting her and trying to destroy her marriage. But behind the guy’s dashing appeal is a shady character that Alyana is yet to unearth.

The desperate need to look for a new hiding place led Cardo and his pack en route to Alyana’s hometown in Batangas, leaving their families behind. But as long as they are together, there’s no trial the couple wouldn’t surpass, however difficult, or so they thought.
Amid the chaos, they shared beautiful dreams about the future. His promise of raising a happy and peaceful home kept her assured. She held on to his words like what she always did from the start.
But the heart gets tired, they say, especially when old feelings resurface. In what appears to be an unhappy marriage, arguments and misunderstandings slowly pull Cardo and Alyana apart.
He detests the changes he sees in his wife especially the way she dresses. She is starting to hate his sternness, either. Their days begin with a misunderstanding and end with another argument.
However she tries to deny, Alyana’s change of heart is affected by her rekindled closeness with Lito, her teenage sweetheart, and now boss.
Since the moment they were reunited, they were also reminded of the bliss they shared when they were still young and in love. Alyana tried to ignore his presence but maybe the love they shared was so sweet and unforgettable that they always have so much to reminisce about, with lush sun-kissed scenery as a backdrop.
Alyana started to work for Lito’s company while Cardo and the rest of the task force are deployed around his country club. And what happens when ex-lovers spend most of their time together? Old memories and feelings resurrect.
Lito showers Alyana with gifts and he surprises her with romantic dates. Although she loves her husband so much, Alyana just couldn’t help but smile when thinking about Lito. She recently went on a lovely date with him wearing the dress he gave her.

In past interviews, Coco mentioned that Richard’s entry would have to be the biggest threat in Cardo and Alyana’s marriage. Meanwhile, Richard said that Yassi is such a delight to work with.
