FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan has brought inspiration and hope to thousands of viewers for the seven years it has been on-air. What’s even more astounding is how it also gave hope to most of its cast members.

The longest-running action series has had characters come and go over the years, meaning many actors and actresses have showcased their talent on the show. To many of them, the call to be part of the show was a blessing — a second chance at their passion for acting. In this #KapamilyaUpdate video, look back on the former actors who were able to return to showbiz through FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan.

Father and son Lito and Mark Lapid focused on their call to serve the public after a few years in the limelight as actors. When their respective terms concluded, they dipped their toes back in their craft and joined the cast of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano in 2017. They took on the roles of Romulo and Anton, members of the rebel group “Pulang Araw.”

Mark Anthony Fernandez was able to rebuild his life again when FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano welcomed him as Brandon Cabrera on the show. Politician Jolo Revilla sharpened his acting chops again when he took a break from public service. For a short stint, he assumed the role of PSG Officer Harold Casilag who guards President Oscar Hidalgo (Rowell Santiago).

Members of the sexy girl group Viva Hot Babes Katya Santos, Gwen Garci, Maui Taylor, Jaycee Parker, and Zara Lopez were given a chance to shine on television anew when they accepted the offer to portray the “Flower Power Girls” on the show. They played a group of attractive ladies that would go on coordinated missions of the group Vendetta.

In June 2018, comedienne Whitney Tyson said in an interview how she yearned to get work as an artist again. Coco Martin, or the famed Cardo Dalisay of the series, offered her an opportunity to be part of the historic show within a week after the interview’s release. Whitney expressed her gratefulness by doing her best in playing the role of Elizabeth, President Oscar’s housekeeper.

Roderick Paulate is another actor-turned-politician that ventured back into his love for acting. He jumped immediately at the opportunity to play Vice Mayor Adonis on the show, making it his first project in showbiz after ending his last term as a Quezon City councilor.

Former child star CJ Ramos was given a second chance in acting and in life when he joined FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan. Coco saw his potential to change for the better and invited him to join the series. Up until today, he is playing Patrick Espinosa, one of the members of Cardo’s Task Force Agila.

Coco once again heeded the call for help from a former actor in August 2018. Character actress Mystica went on an air to get the attention of Coco and asked him to be a part of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan. She deemed it as a chance for her to make use of her talent again. In no time, she was given the role of Rosa.

Around the same time, young actress Rhed Bustamante was striving to look for acting projects and make her break into showbiz again. She and her siblings were still looking for ways to fund their education. As her family was struggling financially, she knew working as an actress again could help big time. Being given the role of Ana, Rosa’s child, on the show was a gift from heaven in her life.

Former sexy star Priscilla Almeda was also searching for work opportunities when she returned to the Philippines after being abroad for more than 10 years. Similar to the others, FPJ’s Ang Probinsyan gave her a chance to break into her acting shoes once again and show the world what she can do. In the series, she cleverly portrayed Krista, who was engaging in an illicit affair with a businessman.

Witness the hope and inspirations FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano delivers in “Ang Pambansang Pagtatapos.” Don’t miss an episode, airing weeknights on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, A2Z Channel 11, and iWantTFC.
