LOOK: The farewell messages of FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano cast to “Pinuno”

It can be recalled that it was almost in 2017 when he first appeared on FPJ’s Ang Probinsyano as the courageous and straitlaced leader of the rebel group Pulang Araw, Romulo “Leon” Dumaguit (Lito Lapid). Being blamed for the acts of terrorism that truly brought scare to the country and killed the firstborn of lead character Ricardo “Cardo” Dalisay (Coco Martin) and his wife Alyana (Yassi Pressman), they were targeted by the government forces to which Cardo was a part of.

This ensued to a bloody skirmish between them, wherein their paths first intertwined and their unlikely allegiance and friendship were formed. Since then, they’ve been each other’s most constant buddy as they spearhead the vigilante group Vendetta and fight against crimes and corrupt politicians.

Through the times, their number slowly fluctuated due to the perilous missions they underwent, making them outnumbered in their encounter with Homer “Alakdan” Adlawan (Jhong Hilario) and his henchmen in the recent weeks. This, as we all know, resulted to the untimely death of their beloved “Pinuno” – another alias of Romulo – in the loving arms of his wife Diana (Angel Aquino) in his attempt of saving her from the fatal gunshots of the vicious Alakdan.

While pain, grief, and despair envelop the remaining members of their troop and the townsfolk of Sto. Niño, the mood behind-the-camera is somehow different as the cast expressed how sad, and at the same time, how happy they are for the veteran action star’s departure from the show as he’s about to begin a new chapter in his life.

They kissed him goodbye and said their ‘thanks’ through their tribute posts for him on their respective Instagram accounts, wherein they uploaded some of their fun memories with him.

Good luck on your next journey, Pinuno! You will surely be missed.
