Iza Calzado re-enacts her most memorable movie and teleserye scenes

With award-winning portrayals under her belt, Kapamilya prime actress Iza Calzado is an icon in her own right. In this video, the bida-kontrabida heroine takes us back to her most memorable teleserye and movie roles in a re-enactment game!

Iza took on a dare to re-enact her scenes based on the given ‘mood’ – sweet, fierce, and fearful. The first round featured four different scenes from the 2017 series A Love to Last where she played the intimidating girl-boss Grace. Driven by ambition and a personal journey of finding her true self, Grace decides to leave her family. Her comeback sets the conflict in the lives of her children and ex-husband Anton (Ian Veneracion), who’s now on his way to moving on with his new love, Andeng (Bea Alonzo).

She’s basically perceived the kontrabida in the story, although just like any other woman longing for redemption, Grace also had inner battles and the genuine yearning for happiness.

Watching this game unfold, we love how Iza turned one of Grace’s most intimidating encounters with Andeng soft and friendly. The hint of menace in the original scene is now coated with sweetness.

In the JoshLia-starrer Ngayon at Kailanman (2018), Iza donned the character of Rebecca, the biological mother of Eva played by Julia Barretto, who was also one of her kids in A Love to Last. In here, Iza once again showcased her acting prowess with her character’s journey from being a simple barrio lass to her explosive comeback as a powerful businesswoman two decades later.

For the last round, Iza was reunited with Patty, her character in the blockbuster film “Starting Over Again” (2014). She’s the new girl with whom Marco (Piolo Pascual) had a fresh start after his breakup with Ginny (Toni Gonzaga).

As Patty, the close-to-perfection new girlfriend ‘na kamukha ni Mama Mary,’ Iza exuded elegance and calm even in that iconic confrontation scene with Ginny where she dropped the lines “Our love may be quiet but it is sure.” Watch her deliver that lengthy ‘hugot’ and switch from sweet to fierce to fearful!

Be amazed by Iza’s acting prowess all over again as Ellice Cenidoza in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, created by Dindo C. Perez and Julie Anne R. Benitez and directed by FM Reyes and Avel Sunpongco, airing every Monday to Friday on Kapamilya Channel, Kapamilya Online Live, and A2Z.
