10 intense acting showdown of Maricel Soriano and Rita Avila as Lucing and Belen in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin

Intense acting showdown coated in sheer brilliance – that’s what you get when Maricel Soriano and Rita Avila combine their thespic prowess in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin. We know you couldn’t get enough of their amusing face-off, so we are putting the spotlight on their most savage confrontation scenes in the series via this Kapamilya Toplist.

In Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin, Maricel played the loving Lucing while Rita breathed burning devilry to the character of Belen – two mothers who love differently. Their feud has a long history. Lucing claims, and she has proof to back it up, that their family was tricked by the Cenidoza patriarch, Jorge (Lito Pimentel), resulting in their downfall. Claims of betrayals and affairs added more layers of conflict.

Lucing has found her peace under the care of Ellice (Iza Calzado) until the latter’s mother, Belen, resurrected after decades of absence. The shocking comeback signalled another round of war between the Cenidozas and Pinedas.

The two mothers often engage in scorching, no holds barred female showdowns, caught up in their daughters’ rivalry. Let the battle begin with a fierce confrontation about betrayal. Belen provoked Lucing by rubbing in Marissa (Jodi Sta. Maria)’s crime of trying to take Gabriel (Sam Milby) from Ellice. Known for her immaculate demeanor and patience, Lucing surprised us all when she refused to raise the white flag and managed to maneuver the fault-finding tactic to her resurrected nemesis. She pointed out Belen’s shortcomings as a mother.

Lucing knew she had all the weapons to defeat Belen, just a quick rundown of the latter’s dirt will end the game, so she threatened to reveal her dirty secrets. However, Belen managed to play victim by falling down the stairs.

Next is a courtroom battle over riches, privilege, and vindication. Belen tagged Lucing as a cheater but the latter said they both know the truth, calling her a hypocrite. The scene ended with a bone-chilling altercation.

When Lucing dropped by the hospital to check on Hope (Kira Balinger), she got into an argument with Belen who drove her away. She opted to just leave for Hope’s sake but not without issuing a warning. “Kapag may nangyaring masama sa apo ko, manghihiram ka ng mukha sa aso,” she told Belen.

To make the conflict more deliciously entertaining, they hopped in their daughters’ rivalry in Cenidoza Pearls. Belen doesn’t shy away from showing her horrific attitude while Lucing would be more considerate towards the employees. It convinced the workers that the Pinedas are more humane and the Cenidozas are cold and cruel.

There was a scene where Lucing showed up at an administrative meeting to take over for Marissa for a while. Although she had no background in business, Lucing’s strength lies in her bigheartedness. She fought for the employees’ rights and their much-deserved incentives, much to Belen’s fury.

Add to that the time when Lucing brought food for the employees and when she exhausted all efforts to look for Hope and Jake (Grae Fernandez) as the two ran away from home. Lucing gained the votes of the Villarosas, who would gang up on Belen.

The rippling feud between Lucing and Belen’s clans leaves puzzling questions about who the real sinners and victims are.
