Ellice’s mom Belen kicks off wicked plans in Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin Week 19

With the return of Belen (Rita Avila) in the life of her daughter Ellice (Iza Calzado), things are getting more exciting and more scorching as she enters the picture of the already intense narrative of Ang Sa Iyo Ay Akin

And for Week 19, we had witnessed how she slowly immerses herself to the family of Ellice, as well as of her son-in-law Gabriel (Sam Milby).

As Ellice consistently declined her, Belen sought the help of Gabriel in mending their relationship. She talked about the reason why she had to abandon Ellice at a young age, be away from her for a long time, then surprisingly come back when she’s already an adult and has a family of her own. But what made her decide to come back is her desire to be with her daughter after recently suffering to mild stroke.

Do’n ko naisip na hindi ko kayang mamatay nang ‘di ko nakakasama ang anak ko ulit,” she pitifully told him.

Struck by the sob story of his mom-in-law, Gabriel promised to talk to Ellice about it, but reminded her that he could never change her mind.

Salamat. Maraming salamat, anak.

On the other hand, Hope (Kira Balinger) and Jake (Grae Fernandez) were also able to mend their rift after the latter was able to prove the former that his accusations against RJ (Karl Gabriel) were true by handing her the recording of his nasty conversation with one of his friends about what happened to them the other night.

“I’m sorry for accusing you, for slapping you, for hurting your feelings. Dapat nakinig ako sa’yo. Gusto kong magpasalamat sa’yo dahil sobrang laking tulong sa’yo ng recording. Pero, ako’ng bahala do’n,” Hope sincerely told Jake.

That evening, everyone was surprised with Belen’s arrival at the dinner hosted by Carmelita (Cheska Iñigo) at the Villarosa residence. Unbeknownst to them, she was invited by the latter when they met at Gabriel’s office earlier that day.

Instead of having a hearty and cordial dinner, an altercation erupted between Ellice and Marissa. It started in a bowl of salad and went on to become personal as Sonya (Desiree del Valle) brought up La Sierra’s inclusion in an international jewelry exhibit.

Hindi ba mahirap maging proud kung under the table ang trabaho?” Ellice began.

“Under the table? Alam mo, ‘yan ang palusot ng mga taong nagpabaya, nakampante. Tuloy, naagawan,” Marissa sarcastically retorted.

Naagawan nga ba o naahasan?

“My bad. I’m actually looking for a term. Oh, assassination? Tama, Ellice.”

Nanay Lucing (Maricel Soriano) stopped Marissa from delivering her tirades, while Carmelita reminded them that the dinner was intended for them to get to know each other and to be bonded before Christmas.

Extremely bothered by what happened, Hope asked Jake how he’s able to keep his composure amidst the chaos.

“Iniisip ko lang na problema na nila ‘yon. Tayong dalawa, biktima lang naman tayo. Hindi naman natin hiningi na pinanganak tayo sa sitwasyong ‘to,” he said.

Basta, despite everything, magkapatid tayo. Dapat solid tayo,” she remarked.

While Hope and Jake were able to rekindle their bond, a scorching quarrel between their grannies Lucing and Belen ignited with regards to their mothers.

Lucing fiercely clapped back.

Their clash continued some minutes after inside the house, which also involved their daughters Marissa and Ellice.

In her pursuit of getting her daughter’s acceptance and admiration, Belen did the unthinkable – she asked for a friend of hers to help Cenidoza get an invitation to an upcoming international exhibit and connived with the devious Cesar (Simon Ibarra). Well, as what she told him, “Gagawin ko ang lahat just to have my daughter back”. Besides, she also brought food for their dinner at Ellice’s house, telling her that she was the one who prepared everything as soon as she arrived.

Meanwhile, Gabriel and his family were having a fun time bonding with Jake and Hope at the Villarosa residence. As the relationship of his “kids” continues to improve, the proud dad wishes nothing but for the both of them to continue loving each other.

“Jake, I know things have been hard for you and Hope recently. I just hope and pray that matuto kayong magdamayan bilang magkapatid, that the both of you will be there for each other. And I want you to know na kahit anong mangyari, I will always be here for you and Hope. Okay?” Gabriel told Jake in their one-on-one conversation.

Dubious of his mother-in-law’s behavior, Gabriel tailed her down after sending her to the supposed hotel she’s staying in and found out that she actually stays in an inn across it. He relayed it to Ellice, who immediately ranted on how she feels guilty about their situation, belching out, “Bakit gano’n, Gabriel? Ako ang inabandona, ‘di ba? Bakit ngayon, ako ang nagui-guilty? Ako ngayon ang lumalabas na masama dahil ‘di ko matanggap ang sarili kong nanay? It’s not fair.”

Gabriel calmed her down, saying, “Baka dapat mas kilalanin mo ‘yong mommy mo. Tanungin mo siya kung saan siya nanggaling at kung anong nangyari sa kanya all these years.” While this was seemingly his way of fulfilling his promise to Belen, he’s still wary about her. Thus, the following day, he sought the help of a private investigator to do a background check on Belen and find out her activities and whereabouts in the past decades that she was gone.

Meanwhile, as she still attempts to get the favor of her daughter, Belen tried to brainwash Ellice by making her believe that it was Lucing who has been betraying her for the sake of her own child Marissa.

Trust me, she’s not who she seems to be.”

As she confronted Lucing for being an alleged spy of Marissa to Ellice as she still opted to stay with the Villarosas despite the return of her child, Belen was seemingly taken aback by her reply.

Lucing stated that totally enraged her.

Despite being slapped, Lucing went on to fiercely tell her, “Nananahimik ako. No’ng dumating ka, ‘di ako kumibo. Inisip ko na baka nagbago ka na. Nagkamali ako.”

Belen wasn’t apparently shunned by Lucing’s threat as she continued to nastily talk to her while Lucing was regaining her composure as she went up the stairs. This ensued to a scorching argument between them, with Belen calling Marissa “kabit” and accusing Lucing of just being after Ellice’s money. But Lucing refused to be defeated by Belen as she defended herself and her daughter from the wicked Belen.

Mahal mo sarili mo lang,” Lucing angrily told her.

Their altercation ensued to the intentional accident of Belen who pushed herself off the stairs, making it appear that it was Lucing who did it. The former did this in order to fulfill her plans of completely brainwashing Ellice and kicking the latter out of her life – which is gradually becoming successful.
