Throughout the history of the entertainment industry, not just individual artists rise, as a lot of on-screen pairs were born as well. While some had only remained colleagues and friends, there were others who are able to bring their relationship to the next level a they became lovers in real life. And among them is Kathryn Bernardo and Daniel Padilla, who are celebrating their decade of being a reel-and-real life couple this 2022!

As we’re about to see them in another light through their much-awaited teleserye comeback 2 Good 2 Be True, let us reminisce their magical journey to love via their teleseryes that truly brought us kilig through the years in this episode of Kapamilya Spotlight.

Their paths first crossed in the 2011 weekly youth-oriented series Growing Up, in which Daniel replaced Kathryn’s supposed loveteam partner then. Albeit, they were still able to establish an unmistakable chemistry as Ella and Patrick that astonishingly captured the public and ensued to the birth of their team-up fondly called “KathNiel”.

It was succeeded by their remarkable stint in Princess and I the following year, wherein they charmed us as adorable teenagers Mikay and Gino. Unbeknownst to us, it was actually during those times when their romantic relationship started, which they only revealed in 2018.

Kathryn and Daniel then had their first take on the romance-comedy genre when they top-billed the hit primetime series Got To Believe in 2013. Who didn’t love their characters Chichay and Joaquin, who didn’t only amuse us with their funny antics and never-ending banters, but also made us kilig!

In 2015, they were chosen to star the remake of the classic early 2000s soap opera Pangako Sa ‘Yo as the iconic fictional lovers Yna Macaspac and Angelo Buenavista, which paved the way for their transition from teeny-bopper roles to more mature portrayals.

KathNiel was then able to showcase their skills in both drama and action in the 2017 fantasy-romance drama La Luna Sangre and amazed us as the powerful Malia Rodriguez and the courageous Tristan Torralba.

And now, we’re looking forward to meet their new characters Ali and Eloy that we are going to adore for sure in 2 Good 2 Be True!
