They may have gotten off on the wrong foot as they first crossed paths at a complicated and messy circumstance, but the universe eventually made it right for Ali (Kathryn Bernardo) and Eloy (Daniel Padilla, who, from being enemies, went on to become allies – and eventually lovers – in 2 Good 2 Be True.

There might be a lot of times when their relationship got heavily tested by their individual or personal struggles or issues, as well as challenges that they had to face as a couple, as what we had witnessed in the “Finale 2 Remember” episodes, but it’s their unswerving love for each other that still won in the end.

While both of them were already sure of that they would end up together, the two refused to rush on things nor pressure one another as they wanted to fulfill their goals and dreams first before getting married, as what Eloy told Ali’s mother Margie (Gelli de Belen) during her wedding with Kap Rosales (Cris Villanueva). And true enough, they waited first for both of them to finish their post-graduate studies and to start on their dream careers – Ali as a neurosurgeon and Eloy as a lawyer.

Since she’s long been ready to marry Eloy, Ali told Hugo (Ronaldo Valdez) during one of their conversations that she would be the one to propose to his grandson. However, being the number one supporter of their tandem, Lolo Sir didn’t let that happen as he secretly relayed her plan to Eloy.

So, in order to surprise Ali, their families and friends connived to make the proposal happen. Unbeknown to Ali, they had helped Eloy to pull off the greatest trick of a lifetime, which took place at the hill where their romantic feelings for each other seemingly started to grow. It may have taken them five years, but it was all worth it as Ali bestowed her “Oo, naman. Yes!” to him. As they’d witnessed how the two exerted their efforts to make their relationship work, their families and friends had nothing but happiness for both of them.

This scene may have been filled with kilig and happiness, but the mood off-cam prior filming it was quite serious (well, as it should be) yet still lighthearted, as the cast and crew wanted to make sure that it’s going to be captured beautifully. And as soon as the reels stopped rolling, the vibe eventually turned joyous and lively as they smiled from ear-to-ear and vigorously waved to the camera.
