With a plot that revolves around human connections, 2 Good 2 Be True is a teleserye full of characters with heartwarming relationships – from Eloy (Daniel Padilla) and Ali (Kathryn Bernardo) to ‘Apat Na Itlog,’ Fajardo family, and the mansion’s ‘Marites’ team.

Our current favorite would have to be Lolo Hugo (Ronaldo Valdez), Lolo Bart (Bodjie Pascua), and Atty. Jimmy (Leo Rialp)’s adorable squad. Not only do they deliver cute moments to our delight, but they also prove that real friendships could last and still be fun even when we’re not as young anymore.

The trio is never too old for adventures, seen in the recent episodes where they got lost together after escaping from the hospital to travel to Lolo Hugo’s home.

They are one another’s support system in case they need to vent their monologues about life. And even at old age, they still figure out some things together. They can count on and trust each other, never one to judge despite their memory loss, back pain, temper, and all. Aww. Aren’t they friendship goals?

They named their squad after an ointment product used for the relief of muscle and joint pains. Witty! They also call their prep time “play time.” Well, work feels like play with friends.

In the story, the Lolos find Nurse Ali too ‘makulit’ and protective. But, off-cam, she is their darling and she’s even seen goofing around with them, like in this photo she jokingly captioned, “Ang mababait kong alaga.”

Kathryn, in turn, would always talk about feeling honored to work with the showbiz icons. “What a dream!” she said on a snap with Tito Ronaldo, Leo, and Bodjie, with Gloria Diaz playing Helena in the series.

It’s not the first time she gushed about sharing the screen with these veteran stars as some of her previous posts were dedicated to her Tito Ron. While it’s easy to assume that senior stars are intimidating, KathNiel is actually comfortable around them.

Studies show that friendships can help seniors live longer, thus Lolo Bart and Atty. Jimmy play important roles in Lolo Hugo’s treatment for Alzheimer’s disease.
