In 24/7 pilot episode, Julia Montes plays the role of Mia Agbayani, a security officer in Jacinto Pharmaceuticals who singlehandedly raises her son Xavier after she chose to leave her irresponsible husband Emerson (Joross Gamboa). Her once simple yet peaceful life with her unico hijo turned chaotic after he became one of the victims of an epidemic – a hybrid of dengue and malaria – which already spawned to high number of casualties as the aforementioned company refuses to distribute the vaccines for a certain reason.
She tried to beg for at least a dose from her boss, but got rejected. Desperate, she stole one case of it and delivered it to the hospital where her son is, but got killed in the process by Franco (Eric Fructuoso), one of the henchmen of the pharmaceutical giant’s owner, who ran after her upon stealing the vaccines.
Xavier survived and became a poster boy of her mother’s deed. Fast-forward to 2045, he (Tony Labrusca) was seen accepting an award for his exemplary work as a scientist and his invention of a mysterious holographic device that could amazingly rewound the time back. In the closing minutes of the pilot episode, we saw Mia holding the device at their home in 2020 and going through the news clips about her death that it flashed.
24/7 indeed didn’t fail in enthralling the viewers on its first episode through its action-packed scenes and heart-rending moments in which the cast members impeccably portrayed their respective roles. Well, that’s because each of them scrupulously studied the script and trained so hard in order to depict their characters well, as seen in the behind-the-scene photos in THIS GALLERY.
