Pulling off a false identity, Sophia (Jodi Sta Maria) conquered The Toy Company as part of a deal with Madam Anna Manalastas (Xyriel Manabat/Coney Reyes), the toy empress on a mission as instructed by the heaven’s gatekeeper.
The events unfolded just as how Anna plotted them. But, there seemed to be a brewing problem on Sophia’s part as she bit by bit fell under the spell of certified chick magnet Bart (Rafael Rossell), brother of Bobby (Dominic Ochoa), Madam Anna’s successor. The mission and emotional defiance resulted in an adorable love-hate working relationship between them, as shown in these scenes from Kapamilya inspirational series, 100 Days to Heaven.
Unbeknownst to Bobby, Sophia’s marketing expertise was only feigned by Anna, who was working ‘behind-the-ear’ and feeding Sophia with instructions. He was still determined to pirate the rival company’s newest asset. And the task of wooing Sophia was handed to Bart, the heartthrob whose charismatic powers can pull any girl under his control. Unfortunately, the magic didn’t work on Sophia because of Anna’s stern warning. Shock was written all over his face when the target played hard to get and rejected his proposal within two minutes leading in a wounded ego.
To get even from the humiliation, Bart put Sophia on-the-spot by asking for her proposed strategies on The Toy Company’s current project. A technical issue halted Anna and Sophia’s secret communication, causing the latter to just remain silent and look foolish in front of the other employees. The incident ignited a tougher rivalry between them.
Thanks to Anna’s wisdom, Sophia managed to recover from that losing round. Keeping Anna’s golden teachings in mind, Sophia revisited the project and slammed Bart with a savage marketing proposal.
As the days went by, the constant interactions slowly turned Bart and Sophia’s hate into emotions they couldn’t comprehend, or just wouldn’t like to admit. Anna noticed the tension, then warned Sophia to never fall for Bart’s games in women. But, despite the stern reminders, there were moments when Sophia was almost lured by Bart’s sweet words like when he complimented her for being a tough, family-oriented breadwinner.
The growing tension got more obvious when they got squeezed in the elevator and found themselves trapped in awkward situations. Bart’s irresistible scent and new cut didn’t help Sophia at all. Unknown to her, Bart was just as affected. The tension continued that day when a supposed professional talk was mixed with an exchange of personal hugot.
“The more you hate, the more you love,” isn’t it?
